Program Description: Discover challenges in managing enteral feeding intolerance (EFI) across the health care spectrum. Gain insight on EFI risk based on critical illness phase and strategies for managing the transition to home. Join leading experts to learn how to improve clinical and health economic outcomes for patients in your practice.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify prevalence and characteristics of enteral feeding intolerance (EFI) as it pertains to the patient journey from ICU to post-acute care.
  2. Describe the phases of critical illness in relationship to EFI and explore methods of management.
  3. State the effect of specialized feeding with peptide-based diets on the clinical and health economic outcomes in home enteral nutrition (HEN) patients.
