Course Description

This program presented on October 18, 2019 during NASPGHAN focuses on the evidence supporting nutrition interventions for induction of remission in patients with Crohn 's Disease. Hear the latest evidence supporting the use of the novel Crohn 's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED) for children with mild to moderate CD, as well as the body of evidence supporting exclusive enteral nutrition (EEN).     • Discuss the differences and similarities in diagnosis and intervention for Persistent Inflammation, Immunosuppression and Catabolic . Syndrome (PICS) and Post Intensive Care Syndrome-Survivors (PICS-S).
    • Describe the mitochondrial and inflammatory changes seen in PICS and PICS-S.
    • Identify the importance and role of nutrition in PICS and PICS-S management.
