Malnutrition can have severe consequences on overall health and well-being not to mention sarcopenia and frailty which are widespread in the older population. Explore the risk factors and current validated screening and assessment tools available to support your practice. 1. Define and describe risk factors, appropriate malnutrition screening, assessment and functional examination tools for older adults with malnutrition, sarcopenia and frailty. 
2. Explain the importance of assessing and diagnosing older adult functional abilities to enable practical, effective care plans and treatments.
3. Describe application of current best practice recommendations for older adult patient care, including interpretation, documentation, reporting and referral of assessments and functional examination results.
