Objectives:

Describe key immunonutrients and their proposed roles in immune and metabolic support during surgical stress.
Identify surgical and non-surgical patient populations that would benefit most from immunonutrition based on current evidence and guidelines.
Implement evidence-based immunonutrition strategies into surgical nutrition care plans.

This CPE activity awards 1 CPEU for Registered Dietitians in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s CPEU Prior Approval Program. Provider #NE008.

RDNs and NDTRs practicing in the US may log CPE activities under Activity Type 741 for up to three years from the date of approval.
