Objectives:

 1. Explain the physiological changes with aging and how they may affect physical function 

 2. Describe the health impact of sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity on the older adult

 3. Evaluate the role protein and resistance training play in the preservation of BMD and lean muscle mass

 4. Develop a plan of care for an aging adult at risk of sarcopenic obesity using a case-based approach
